LIID Digital (Pty) Ltd ("LIID Digital", "we", "us") operates the AI voice agent platform at liiddigital.co.za and the client portal at app.liiddigital.co.za. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store and protect personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
By accessing our website or using our platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described in this policy.
02 — Information We Collect
Only what we need
We collect only what is necessary to provide and operate our services:
- Identity and contact details — name, email, phone, business name
- Business information — website URL, country, subscription plan
- Call recordings and transcripts generated during voice agent operation
- Lead data captured by your AI agent during calls
- Billing information including subscription plan and transaction references — card details are handled exclusively by payment providers and never stored by us
- Usage data such as call minutes and login activity
03 — Why We Collect It
Lawful purpose, nothing more
We process personal information only for the following purposes:
- Service provisioning and delivery
- Billing and payments
- Support and communication
- Platform security and integrity
- Legal compliance
No advertising. No profiling. No selling.
We do not use your personal information for advertising or profiling and we do not sell or rent your data to any third party — ever.
04 — Storage and Security
Protected by design
Data is stored on dedicated private servers. Where data is processed outside South Africa, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place consistent with POPIA's requirements on cross-border transfers.
- All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher
- We apply industry-standard encryption and access controls across all systems
- Passwords are never stored in plaintext
05 — Third Parties
Only what the platform requires
We share personal information only with service providers strictly required to operate the platform. We do not sell data to any third party. These providers are:
- PayFast — ZAR payment processing
- Paystack — USD payment processing
- Deepgram — speech-to-text transcription (audio streamed during calls only, not retained)
- Google Cloud via Gemini and Neural2 — AI response generation and voice synthesis
- Switch Telecom & SignalWire — SIP telephony and call routing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Hetzner — server infrastructure
06 — Retention
We keep data only as long as needed
- Account and profile data — retained for the life of your subscription plus 30 days after cancellation
- Call transcripts and recordings — retained for 90 days then deleted
- Lead capture records — retained until you request deletion
- Billing history — retained for 5 years to comply with South African tax requirements
- Server and access logs — retained for 30 days then purged
07 — Your Rights Under POPIA
Rights that belong to you
You have the right to:
- Access personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
- Request deletion subject to legal retention obligations
- Object to processing not required for service delivery or legal compliance
- Withdraw consent at any time

By registering an account or using the LIID Digital platform you confirm you have read this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described.
If you provide information about third parties — such as caller details captured by your AI agent — you confirm you have the necessary authority or consent from those individuals.
09 — Policy Changes
We'll tell you before we change anything
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered account holders at least 14 days before taking effect. The current version is always available at liiddigital.co.za/privacy-policy.
